The Jay Wheel Is Back
After six years off the market, the Jay wheel returns. The original formula was lost after an early production run — the material composition went unrecorded, and it took years of trial and error to rediscover it. This time, the recipe is documented for good.
A cult favourite, back in production
Few wheels command the loyalty the Jay does. On the resale market, used sets have changed hands for $75–$150. This release brings a brand new set in at a fraction of that price.
Limited availability
The material used for these wheels is currently out of stock industry-wide. This batch was produced from what could be sourced, with more planned as material becomes available. As a result, stock will come and go — restocks will happen as often as possible, but availability can't be guaranteed to be constant.
Feel and performance
The Jay wheel sits in its own category: grippier than the standard FlatFace lineup, but firmer and less grippy than a true urethane wheel. The closest comparison point is the Blistered x FlatFace Off-White 72-D Ultra — the Jay is slightly harder, slightly less grippy, and has a smoother overall feel.
Giving back
A percentage of proceeds from every set sold goes directly to team rider Jay Linehan.
Original 2019 description
The long-awaited Jay Linehan Pro Wheel debuted in the BRR Edition Regular Shape, built from a 100% unique material. Slightly off-white compared to standard white wheels, with a touch more softness but without excess grip, the material darkens with use — just like a real skateboard wheel.
Color brightness may vary slightly batch to batch, and the Jay material continues to darken over time and with use, just as a real skate wheel does.
Each wheel is fitted with real miniature ball bearings, just like a genuine skateboard wheel. They're compatible with all trucks, and are specially optimized for performance and durability on Blackriver, Dynamic, JoyCult x Independent, and Blistered trucks.
